Welcome to Maxim Healthcare Skills Competency Review.

  These reviews are designed only for Registered (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) in preparation for a specific competency review assessment.

In order to proceed you must have:

  • LPN or RN license in North Carolina .
  • Passed Maxim Basic Skills pre-hire Competency Exam.
  • Demonstrated competency of safe sterile techniques.
  • Demonstrated competency to provide basic tracheostomy care. 

 If you have not completed any of above or are unsure, Stop now and discuss with maxim training   personnel.

 

Instructions:

  • You may work at your own pace, however allotted time is expected to be 30-45 minutes.
  • There is no set sequence. Topics you want to focus on may be explored randomly.
  • Each topic contains a self assessment tool to help gauge your specific skills and knowledge
  • If you are unfamiliar with browsing web pages, double left click on the  button.    
  • Maxim trainers should have provided a simulated patient, tracheostomy kit, and suction machine. These can be used at any time during this module.
  • If you have any difficulty or can not complete this module, inform the Maxim training staff.
