CBI Story Board

Context & Conditions:

“Your 5 Step Personal Marketing Plan” was designed and developed as a computer –based instructional (CBI) module for real estate agents. This project was completed under the direction of Dr. Arnold Murdock in the spring semester of 2006, as partial requirement for the MIT 513: Computer-Based Instruction course.

Scope:

The completion of the project required the design and development of a CBI product using ToolBook Instructor authoring software and Macromedia Fireworks for creating graphics. A design document was created as the framework for the CBI and a story board was created and finalized before going into final production.

Role:

This was an individual project. My role as instructional designer for the project included analysis and defining performance objectives, writing assessment items and determine sequence and strategies of instruction. As an instructional developer, working with my client I created the CBI using ToolBook and Fireworks. This project also required writing and editing skills.

Reflection:

This class helped me improve and expand on my software skills. The Design and development for the project was required detailed planning. Creating a storyboard to use as a guide was a critical part of the project.
