Context & Conditions

The GOGAS Instructional Design Project Management Plan was completed as partial fulfillment of MIT 520: Managing Instructional Development, under the guidance of Dr. Arnold Murdock in the fall 2004 semester. This Project Management Plan was developed as a hypothetical continuation of the GOGAS Employee Training and Resource Guide self-instructional module produced in MIT 500.

Scope

This project was developed as a proposal for managing the design and development of the GOGAS self-instructional module and job aid. The plan contains detailed information pertaining to Scope Management, Problem Analysis, project objectives, product specifications, constraints, resource estimates, development team, Risk Management, deliverables, and the Work Breakdown Structure which included milestones, a network plan and schedule.

Role

This project was a solo endeavor in which my role was Project Manager. I developed the project report, network plan and schedule by myself.

Reflection

This project was a great learning experience because even though I have managed projects before, I was never given the terminology, tools and guidance needed to bring my project management skills up to a definably professional level. The only aspect that I missed out on was the information gathering process, because I had already completed that step when I developed the instructional module in MIT 500.
