2. Students will be able to use the web to conduct research and gather facts about high blood pressure

Directions:

1. Visit cnn.com and do the following:

o       Click on the “Health” Link

§    Find the Article from Tuesday August 24 Titled,” Report: More Have High Blood Pressure” Under “Conditions News.”

§   Individually cut and paste information from the site that answers the questions below (To be used for Group PowerPoint)

·        What are the possible risks from High Blood pressure?

·        What increases the risk of High Blood pressure?

·        what are the comparisons over the years of persons with high blood pressure?

·        What are the ratio’s of persons affected?

o       Persons most affected?

·        What are all the current statistics from the article?

·        What are the treatment methods in the article?

·        Why is High Blood Pressure called the “silent killer?”

2. Visit at least one other website with information relevant to High Blood Pressure and find two other interesting facts about High Blood pressure.
