About Tracy

Tracy earned her Bachelor and Master of Fine Arts degrees in psychology from the University of North Carolina, Wilmington and has been part of the part-time faculty at UNCW for the last eight years.  She was trained in the behavioral paradigm with her thesis work focusing on categorization learning in rats, using olfactory stimuli. In 2006 her thesis was accepted for publication in the Journal of the Experimental Analysis of Behavior. While still serving as part-time faculty in the psychology department, Tracy is currently enrolled as a first year graduate student in the Masters of Instructional Technology program (MIT) at UNCW.

Tracy's teaching career began at Cape Fear Community College where she taught multi-level GED classes. Soon after, she began teaching psychology courses for both UNCW and CFCC.

Over the years Tracy's interests have evolved to include the effects of childhood nutrition on academic performance, prevention and education on childhood obesity, the design and implementation of public school curricula, and the design and implementation of online courses.
