Audiovisual
Technology Audiovisual technology involves the use of sound and visual images to deliver training materials. Audiovisual technology has the capability of being more effective than print technology because it allows learners to engage in multiple media formats. At the same time, audiovisual technologies generally may rely on other media forms to aid in the impact towards learning because the delivery method is generally one-sided (does not allow for much interaction). Although it is not necessary that Instructional Designers be experts in audiovisual technology, it is important that an instructional designer understands how audiovisual technology works to effectively cater the design materials. Examples of audiovisual technologies
include: Video, film, audio tapes, CD-ROM’s and slideshows |
