Career Goals

After I have completed my Masters in Instructional Technology in December 2006, I will obtain a full-time position in a corporate or higher educational setting. Either of these positions will allow me to build my experience in designing and developing instruction, managing projects or programs, and building interpersonal relationships with colleagues and other professionals. My belief that lifelong learning is vital to a successful career in Instructional Technology will be reinforced through continual growth and learning through application of my skills on the job. Likewise, my knowledge of software and hardware applications will grow through use of new resources in these settings. One area I am especially interested in furthering my skills in is Human Performance Technology. I would like to one day become a Certified Performance Technologist through the International Society for Performance Improvement and utilize my skills to find both instructional and non-instructional performance improvement measures.
