Projects

Below are some sample projects that were created as part of my graduate coursework. Please take a look around and let me know if you have any questions.

Assessment Project

Assessing Learning Outcomes Project

This project was created in conjunction with an assessment course. I was tasked with writing content, developing an instructional strategy, designing an assessment, creating a rubric, and practicing an item analysis for a topic of my choice. Since I enjoy video editing and have so many friends interested in learning more about it, I chose to do my project on Apple's iMovie software.

Motivation Project

Motivation in Instructional Design Project: Applying the ARCS Model

One of the most interesting courses I have taken so far was on motivation in instructional design. Along with learning about motivational theories and the systematic motivational design process, we were tasked with applying a set of motivational design specifications to enhance an existing instructional module. I worked with another student on analyzing and applying motivational tactics to a computer based module for the WIC (Women, Infants and Children) Program.

The project highlights our audience and current materials analysis, as well as the list of tactics we chose to enhance the module. The prototyping file is a simple mock-up of how we would apply a small sample of the tactics chosen.
