Domain of Management

The AECT Definition and Terminology Committee divides the management domain into four sub-domains, namely:
1) project management, 2) resource management, 3) management of delivery systems, and 4) information management
(AECT, 2001). The role of the Instructional Technologist in the Domain of Management is to plan, coordinate, monitor,
supervise, and control the components of an instructional design and development project. The ability to make sure that
the project plan is complete and that everything goes according to plan is essential in a successful instructional development
system.
