Articles 4 & 5

ARTICLE IV – ADHERENCE
This organization will adhere to all University of North Carolina Wilmington rules, regulations, and policies, as well as to all local, state, and federal laws.

ARTICLE V – MEMBERSHIP
Section 1. Membership in the Orthodox Christian Fellowship of UNC Wilmington shall be open to all registered university students. Any member attending at least 50% of the general meetings in a given semester will be considered a Voting Member after four weeks. If a Voting Member fails to maintain 50% attendance the rest of the semester, he or she will lose this status and have to gain it back the following semester.

Section 2. This organization practices an open membership policy for members of the university community without regard to race, color, age, religion, national origin, disability, or sexual orientation. Membership and participation in this student organization is also open without regard to gender, unless exempt under Title IX.

Section 3. Any member who fails to uphold the spirit of this constitution shall be voted to be removed by the Voting Members. Removal shall take place by ¾ majority of quorum (as defined in Article VIII Section 2). The member in question and all members shall be given at least 10 days notice that a vote for possible removal will take place at the next meeting, where the member in question can defend his or her case. If removed, this member can appeal to reenter the club after one academic year.

Section 4. Only Voting Members shall have the right to vote, run for, and hold office positions. All other members shall have the right to attending meetings and participate in discussions but not to vote.

Section 5. The club may require a payment of dues at the beginning of the following academic year, for that and each following semester. These rates shall be proposed by the Treasurer to the Executive Committee and then discussed and set by the members by ¾ majority vote of quorum each time they are proposed to be changed.
