ARTICLE VI – GOVERNANCE
Section 1. The Fellowship shall be governed and managed by an Executive Committee, composed of officers, as provided for in Article IX – Officers.

Section 2. The Executive Committee’s responsibility will be to implement policy decisions of the OCF of Wilmington such that are introduced by Voting Members at general meetings. The Executive Committee shall consist of thePresident, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer, and such other committee positions, such as a Public Relations Officer, as may be authorized from time to time by vote of the membership.

Section 3. The duties of the Executive Committee shall be:

  1. To transact all official business of the Fellowship
  2. To approve all disbursements of funds by the Treasurer, and to arrange for an annual audit of the accounts of the Treasurer at the end of April.
  3. To facilitate the program of the Orthodox Christian Fellowship.

ARTICLE VII – ADVISORS
Section 1. The OCF of Wilmington shall have at least one religious advisor approved by the North American Orthodox Christian Fellowship. The religious advisor(s) to Orthodox Christian students shall be ex officio members of the Executive Committee and of all other committees of the Fellowship. Prior to seeking approval from the North American Orthodox Christian Fellowship organization, each religious advisor must have obtained the blessing and endorsement from the diocesan bishop of the archdiocese with whom he or she is affiliated as to his or her service as a religious advisor to the Fellowship.

Section 1(a). Removal or replacement of ex officio Advisor(s), who are not in accordance with the aforementioned responsibilities, shall be determined by the authority of North American Orthodox Christian Fellowship and/or by the Orthodox Metropolitan presiding over the territory of North Carolina, as proposed to by the President on behalf of the club’s unanimous vote. Voting Members with grievances shall address issues in a general meeting, and if the Advisor and the club cannot reach an agreement on the issue, there shall be a vote at the following meeting, open to all Voting Members and advisors, to notify the Metropolitan. Notice shall be sent via U.S. postal mail to Metropolitan by unanimity of its Voting Members. 

Section 2.  The OCF of Wilmington shall have the option of having and keeping one academic advisor whoshall adhere to all Campus Activities and Involvement Center (CAIC) rules and regulations as a non-student member of a student organization.  Adding a new academic advisor shall be put to a vote by Voting Members, after discussed by club officers, and shall be decided by ¾ majority of quorum.

Section 2(a). The academic advisor must perform all duties without directly interfering with student operations or decision making. The academic advisor’s primary function shall be to guide students and help them recognize and make use of university resources, and also to make recommendations if the organization or any of its members are not in accordance with UNCW, OCF, and/or CAIC rules and regulations. The academic advisor shall be an ex officio, non-voting member, but shall participate in at least one general meeting or event per month.

Section 2(b).  Removal or replacement of an academic advisor, who is not acting in accordance with the aforementioned duties, shall be determined by Voting Memberswith grievances addressing the issues during a general meeting. If an agreement between the organization and the academic advisor is not attainable, there shall be a vote at the following meeting to remove the officer and to notify the CAIC office, at which meeting the academic advisor shall have the chance to speak on his or her own behalf. The removal and replacement of an academic advisor shall be made by ¾ majority of quorum.
