MIT 542– Internship: Lightspan Tutorial for New Hanover County Schools Working under the direction of Karen Greene, New Hanover Counties Math and Science Coordinator, Scope Lightspan is a software program that is used by middle school teachers to help with benchmark testing to help plan their math curriculum. The tutorial was designed to help teachers understand how to create tests and interpret data from the tests. Role I was a designer and developer of this web-based tutorial. Reflection The major accomplishements that I made during my intership are: creating the overall design nd development for a self-instructional module, lerning how to use new functions in Frontpage and learning how to use Photoshop by manipulating screen shots to use in web-design. I would like to continue to develop my technical skills as I design other web-based tutorials in the future. |
